FAQ's
A wholesome idea about honey
Honey comprises mostly of the natural sugars – glucose and fructose from the nectar of the flowers and has 18-20% moisture content with trace amounts of Vitamins, Enzymes, Antioxidants, etc.
Besides the above mentioned natural sugars, we do not add any external form of sugar to our Honey, that is our guarantee!
Honey doesn’t have an expiration date as such. It has a long shelf life as long as it is stored properly. You might notice a change in colour and texture overtime, but it is still safe to eat.
The best way to bring back the crystallised honey to its normal state is to dip the Twig with crystallised honey in a warm water bath where the water should be between 45 – 50 degree Centigrade. If the water is too hot, it can cook the honey and also being packed in a laminate, the same can be damaged.
One twig is equal to a teaspoon of honey (8gms).
Each batch of our honey is tested in international standard labs for purity and adulteration. We are proud to say that it is 100% pure.
Vegans avoid eating animal and insect products, including the bees. This is the reason they avoid honey in their diet.
Honey can be fed to children above the age of 1.
Please consult your pediatrician before feeding honey to your infant as it may cause infant botulism.
Honey does not go bad in the summer. It is rich in carbohydrates and provides energy without building heat. One thing you should avoid is overheating the honey as it loses its nutritional value drastically.
Honey should be best stored in a cool & dry place and away from direct sunlight. Please do not leave the honey container open for too long. There is no need to refrigerate honey.
Over time, the honey will change – it may become darker, or the flavors may shift. This is natural.
Honey can be fed to dogs in moderation. A twig (1 tsp) of honey a day is all you should be feeding them. Puppies should avoid consuming honey as it affects their digestive system and causes botulism in them. We strongly recommend you consult a vet before feeding honey to your darling fur babies.
